How in the world can I color fondant silver?
The only way to color anything (fondant or icing) metallic is to paint it with luster dust mixed with vodka.
I would wet paint it with Nu Silver luster dust and vodka/extract.
I have shimmer dust..... is that the same thing as luster dust??
I just painted my fondant lettering from white to silver w/ luster dust and lemon extract. It turned out better than what I would have imagined. Will post pix soon. Hope that helps you!
when i want silver fondant i colour my fondant a light grey and then dust with a shimmer dust it always looks nice and silvery, hope this helps huni
shimmer dust is NOT the same and will not give you an authentic silver metallic look.......only silver luster dust will do that!!
oops sorry here in england we have a shimmer dust which gives a great shimmer, sorry for the confusion,
