The only way to color anything (fondant or icing) metallic is to paint it with luster dust mixed with vodka.

I would wet paint it with Nu Silver luster dust and vodka/extract.

I have shimmer dust..... is that the same thing as luster dust??

I just painted my fondant lettering from white to silver w/ luster dust and lemon extract. It turned out better than what I would have imagined. Will post pix soon. Hope that helps you! thumbs_up.gif

when i want silver fondant i colour my fondant a light grey and then dust with a shimmer dust it always looks nice and silvery, hope this helps huni icon_biggrin.gif

shimmer dust is NOT the same and will not give you an authentic silver metallic look.......only silver luster dust will do that!!
