I am making a pistachio cake for tomorrow and need some help choosing a filling. Any ideas? It will be served outdoors in warm temps.

what about a lemon or vanilla filling?

I was thinking of those two. Have never combined the lemon and pistachio so I was leary.

Has anyone ever done that combination?

I am making this for a big group of clients and want a sure fire hit.

How about a whipped cream filling?

Does chocolate go with pistachio? These are ladies that would love chocolate. I have never made this cake myself so don't really know the flavor.

Honestly I have never made a pistachio flavored cake before. But I do like to eat pistachios. I just think that all nuts go well with chocolate.
Just a thought.

Chocolate goes great with pistachio. A Cherry and Pineapple Bavarian with toasted chopped almonds would be delish, too!
