Hi

Of course I wait until I'm frosting the cake to ask the question!?!?! icon_sad.gif Can someone pllleeeaasseee tell me, when you're putting fondant cut out circles on a non crusting buttercream cake, do I put them on right away or should i put the BC in the fridge so it hardens and then try to put them on?!?!

Thanks so much in advance for the help....

here are some photo examples to help you understand what i'm talking about. (never pasted a link in a message so lets hope it works)

Put them on right away.

I think you could do it either way. If you let the BC crust up (or chill up), you can still the circles on with some piping gel. That way, you'll be less likely to smear the buttercream accidentally.

Thank you both for your quick responses. I went ahead and put them on right away. The circles were starting to harden so I'm glad I did it that way.

Another near cake disaster solved by the awesome folks on CC. icon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gif
