Is a gel transfer easier to do then a buttercream transfer? I usually do the buttercream, but thought perhaps with the detail I have to do that the gel transfer might be easier. Do I freeze the gel or just outline on to wax paper and then flip it on to the cake? I have been trying to find the instructions on the website but keep coming up empty handed. Any insight would be helpful! Thanks icon_smile.gif

Transfer your drawing onto parchment paper, on the reverse side use piping gel to outline it. Press onto the cake, lift and you should have your design

-I print my image in reverse and to the size i need it.
-Then I tape it to the back of a cookie sheet or a cutting board.
-Then I either use Parchment or wax paper and lay it over the print out.
-Trace the image in Gel(depening on the size of picture and detail depends on the tip I use-more detail the smaller the tip)
-Then Flip the gel over onto cake and use a soft brush and brush over all my lines to transfer the image.
-Lift Straight up on the paper or your might smudge it a little if you try to roll it off by lifting one side over the other.

The only other tip I might offer is to LIGHTLY color your piping gel the same color as you will use for your outline. It is easier to see when it is colored instead of clear. It can be done in clear, I just found it easier to do it tinted a pastel color.
