Oh boy...my dh would probably be less than thrilled with the "cost not a factor" comment. But, I am doing a Wedding Cake for my sister out of town in a hotel room. I'm planning on baking before I leave but, decorating there. I am looking for a shortcut to making my own. I'm in the Wedding, taking my 5 young kids (along with my dh...thank goodness!) and will not have alot of extra time to make it myself. So, I'm looking for the BEST tasting and easy to work with buttercream. Cost is less of an issue as it is for my sister and I want it to be perfect!!

Thanks in Advance!!!

Boy that's a tall order! Most decorators make their own buttercream with ancient chinese secret recipes handed down from Monks on Mt. Wallykookoobee in the rain forests of the Amazon! icon_lol.gif But seriously, you may want to consider making your own -- my "big" recipe involves 4 lbs of powdered sugar and takes exactly 3 minutes to make. And, if cost is not a factor, that way is very likely the cheapest route to go. It's something to think about! icon_biggrin.gif

i agree i'd probably still go with your own, but i've seen posts on here about Sams having really good pre-made icing I personally haven't tried it but it's suppose to be pretty good. hope it helps. good luck on the wedding.

I haven't tried it but Wilton makes a ready made icing in big tubs. You can get it at Hobby Lobby and Michael's.
