OK my friends... I did it. I made a steroid-taking rose... that sucker has to be about 4 inches across! I made it on a half inch thick dowel rod!! I used the mixture of Duff's BC and the BC Dream from here, and when I tasted it on a little piece of leftover cake, it tasted pretty good. Still not my first choice, but not bad. I tell you, I don't care for working with it though. Melts so dad-gum fast! Sheesh! Anyway, it came out fairly well, and I can't wait to get his feedback on it. I am praying I was close!

WOW! How did you make a rose that big?? What tip did you use? Also, is that coconut on the side? Looks yummy.

Yes, that is toasted coconut on the sides! YUMMY!! I used tip #127 for the petals, and made it on a half inch thick dowel rod! I measured it and it's slightly over 4 inches across!! Not small! I can't wait to hear what he has to say! I hope it's close!

Well, I dropped it off this morning that they were drooling all over it!! (You should've smelled that coconut after being in that container... ohhhh man! When I opened it I thought I might pass out, or just grab the whole cake and cram it in my mouth! icon_wink.gif That's always a good sign! I have my next appointment on Tuesday, so I imagine it won't be until then that I hear anything about it. But he was really pleased with how it looked and smelled! I am glad! Also, I gave it to them as a 'gift' and at first he was like "NO!!" but then he conceded and said that was very nice of me. I told him not to think too highly of me, I was just trying to get him hooked before I started charging a ton! He really got a giggle out of that! Anyway... when I hear something, y'all will too! Thanks for the support!

I was looking on the wilton site and they have a tip 127D that looks quite a bit bigger than the 127, I wonder how big of a rose you can get with that tip?
