This is a question I have asked my Wilton teacher and she said it is all in what you like. Well I don't like a lot of frosting (unless it is chocolate icon_redface.gif ). Is there a good rule of thumb for the amount of frosting to put on a cake?

I know everyone will have a different answer but maybe this will give me an idea if I am putting too much or too little on the cake.

Thanks!

I only put just enough so that I am SURE you cannot see any of the cake beneath it. Usually about 1/4" thick

The icer tip applies a strip about 1/4" thick.

Good Luck! thumbs_up.gif
