Hello,

I am trying to find out the best way to practice my decorating skills. I don't want to use up my supplies. I don't have a problem baking the cakes so would it be better to practice with the cake dummies?

Also, when practicing with icing and fondant, how does that work? I know that I can just practice without color but it seems like you would still have to use a lot of your icing and/or fondant.

Pls advise. I am a newbie to the cake decorating world so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You can wrap your dummy in plastic wrap. Use all white to practice and scrape it off to re-use for practice. You can do the same with the fondant. A little icing worked in to the fondant won't hurt it at all.
