How about trying a tiny amount of leaf green with a tiny and I mean tiny amount of lemon yellow? If I remember correctly, honeydew is VERY light green that's more on the yellow side than the blue side. Try mixing only about a TBSP amount of icing to see if it's right first.
I remember this cake angela! SOOOO pretty!!! I love the one on your avatar too! I enjoy the cake plates you use!!
I think that's the shade of green close to honeydew but in my mind, even lighter than that.
Momma-don't forget that icing colors get darker as they sit too!
Thanks Ellyrae! That was one of the best tasting cakes I've made because the pink on the border was naturally colored by the raspberry I added and it was SOOOOO yummy!
The plates are from Southern Living at Home...which I sell. I'd be happy to send you info, if you're interested. ![]()
Thanks Angela. A good friend of mine has JUST started selling SL @ H. We're supposed to get together so she can show me some products this weekend! How 'bout that! Who knows, maybe the next cake you see from me will have one of these beautiful plates under it!!!
Momma~have you tried mixing any colors yet?
How cool! Enjoy them! I have totally fallen in love. ![]()
