What type of wire does everyone use to stick things out of their cakes. Is this a specific type? And how is it strong enough? I love the look and it seems so simple but I am not sure how to achieve it.
Please help!

I have used a 24 or a 22 gage wire and they work just fine. You can find wire at any local craft store and decide from there it depends on what the wire will hold. hope that helped.

I use floral wire from thecraft store also. It comes on a roll or sometimes you can find it in packs pre-cut. Good luck icon_smile.gif

how do you protect the ends of the wires or do you just stick them in the cake as is?

in here, (melbourne/victoria), the wire should not touch the cake. I was told to put on drinking straw into the cake, then insert the wire into it. hope it help.

You're very welcome, Deana. icon_smile.gif

But actually, it's a group effort; I just search, collate and repost other members answers. thumbs_up.gif
