what book would you choose to have on hand if you could only have ONE of the billions of cake decorating books out there?

That is tough! If I could thumb through them all until I found the thickest one with the most pictures, that would be the one I'd choose.

When I first started looking at cake decorating books, I found this one book that was perfect. I said to myself -this is all I'll need! Great pics, instructions etc. Then I found another book... and another... and another!! Each one had a different inspiration. I also have my own picture binder book from different pics that I've collected from the internet copied , pasted and printed. And then there are the magazines! One book??!!?? No way!

I would get Colette Peter's 'Cakes to dream on' or Maragret Braun's 'Cakewalk.'

I like Toba Garrets The Well Decorated Cake

She has very clear instructions, and covers alot of territory, from beginners to advance.

It also helps alot that i love her style of decorating
