This will be my first paying customer so I'm not sure what charge. The cake will look pretty much the same 10" bottom and 8" on top, but instead of the bow, it will be a tiny cake made into a pink graduation cap with a gumpastse top. Thank you to indigojods for the inspiration!

Not knowing what the flavors are or if there is a filling here is my beginning pricing and what it includes.

$2.00/serving
Two layer cake (Basic flavor)
Buttercream Filling (one layer)
Buttercream Icing

Servings
8" = 20 servings
10" = 36 servings

Total = 56 servings

Beginning Price = $112.00
As for the gumpaste top I would start at $10.00 depending on how much detail you are going to do.

If there is filling, a speciatly cake flavor, speciatly filling, or fondant covered cake the price goes up per serving.

My price also include delivery withen 7 miles of the town I am in according to Google maps.

wow, very precise, thank you! As for the inside, it'll be the white almond sour cream cake with chocolate buttercream, covered in fondant.

I add an additional $0.50 to each serving for fondant.

So price comes up to $2.50/serving

Cake price = $140.00

I forgot to add I did a 6" gumpaste bow which I charged $10.00 for (i don't know if this is reasonable but I saw that I could buy each loop for about $.30 on cakes by same so I figure my price out that way with some additonal $ for my time. The bow on the blue present in my pictures is the one I am talking about.

So then they price would come up to $150.00 for Cake and Topper

Also I don't know if you are delivering, but After the 7 miles I charge $0.50 per mile (each direction) Some people charge $.33 which is what you can write off on your taxes, and others up to $1.00 per mile.

So you will need to find out what works for you.

Have you contacted local bakeries to see what they charge per serving? Or for the size of cake you are looking to do? This will give you a good idea of pricing for your area too.
