I have pressed some beautiful pansies that I want to use on my brothers wedding cake. Has anyone ever done this? I know pansies are edible and since I grew them, they have no pesticides or residue. I'm using fondant to cover. Should I adhere with eggwhite, or small dots of royal icing, would you think. I think buttercream would seep into the flower and ruin them.

I've never done this before but I think it would look beautiful. I'm sure someone will know. I can't wait to see a picture!

BUMP.

I'm not sure, but since pansies are pretty lightweight, maybe just use a little bit of water, stick it on, and let it dry?

I can't wait to see your cake. I know it will be gorgeous...
