Hi,

I am doing a 3D bunny cake with Wilton's 2004 pan sitting on top of a 10" circle. I know i'm going to dowel through both cakes to ensure the bunny stays upright, but do I need to use a plate or dowels / cardboard between the bunny and cake?

My customer wants it to look like the attached photo: (I swear it was found on CakeCentral but I can't find the original creator - I do apologize and thank whoever made this fantastic cake!)

I'm assuming I'd have to cut the cardboard to exact size of the bunny to keep the top so smooth and flat.

Hi crislen yes i would use a cardboard for the bunny, even if you can't cut it to size when icing the bottom tier put the card on top then ice both the card and the cake. Hoe this helps. Gr8 cake Btw.
