I am looking for a cup cake tree that an hold 100 standard size cup cakes and a 6" round single layer cake.
I have seen one by Wilton call the Tall Tire stand but not sure how much support it has.
Has anyone every used this? I would try to build one. If someone has a easy one I can build. I don't have a handy man around and not to "happy" with power tools. Therefore I would have to everything on my own.
BTW...I am in Canada so I am limited to my resources...my lucky american friends have so many great stores to choose from!
HELP if you can.

Do you have a craft store or hardware store nearby that sells different sizes of wooden circles? You could use those with some sort of pillar in between them to stack them up to whatever size you need. Maybe cover a brick with pretty wrapping, or use some pvc covered in pretty paper to separate the wooden circles?

I haven't used the Wilton one, but have put together tiers with mirrors and glass blocks from the hardware store. You can get them pretty inexpensively and can re-arrange them as needed. My next project was getting glass platters in different sizes and glass vases and stacking them to see what I can get.

I use assorted sized round masonite boards but I'm sure that the foil cake drums will do also. Then I gorilla glue a 4" (not 3") PVC pipe connector from a home improvement store. They are like thick tubes, 4 inches high and 4 inches across. You can spray paint them or wrap thick ribbon around them.
With the masonite boards, I spray paint them white and trim the edge in ribbom. And for different clients, I change out the ribbon color.

For the bottom board, I gorilla glue 4 plain wood or plastic dinner napkin rings to the bottom as "feet". They look like globes with the top and bottom sliced off.

You can use an 8",10, 12, 16' boards, 3 PVC pipe connectors, and 4 napkin rings. It doesnt even matter if the rings match in color, just size. This is sturdy enough for 100 cupcakes.
