I have my first Course 2 class tonight and have a question about the supplies needed. Do we really need the parchment triangles? I never use them and don't have any and wasn't really planning on spending the $ on them if I'm not going to ever use them. I'm assuming I don't need my wax paper squares or my flower nail. Is that right? Thanks for your help. (there is no contact number for my instructor or name so I thought you all would be able to help!!)
Oh and only one batch of icing is needed (buttercream) correct? My supply sheet is a bit confusing. sorry.

I NEVER used the parchment bags, but I can't remember about the rest. I through away my supply list for the class after I took it. Sorry I can't be of more help. Maybe the place where you are taking it will have more info or could give you a contact number.

You use a lot of royal and you do colorflow. I use parchment for the colorflow and for a few of the royal colors if I didn't need much. You do need parchment squares and a flower nail since most of this class is making a bunch of different flowers.

Is this for the first class? I should have said I was wondering about the supplies just for the first class. Thanks again.

According to my list you will need your flower nail. As for the parchment bags, I never have used them. I always use the disposable because I am basically lazy icon_lol.gif

Okay, thanks. I'll add my flower nail to my stuff. Checked my list again and it doesn't mention the flower nail but better safe than sorry.

Yes, one batch of buttercream, spilt up into the three consitancies is all the icing you need. You will use the practice board to make the reverse shell, rosette and rose bud.

You will use your flower nail and wax paper squares to make the mum. And your teacher will explain (and hopefully show) how to make royal icing and go through how to make color flow.

I don't require my students to use one type of bag over another, as I feel they should work with what they like best. If you use featherweight bags you will either want to buy some new ones for use with your royal only (for lesson 2 and 3) or use plastic or parchment for those. But I would use what you like best for lesson 1.

Thank you! A friend of mine helped me pick out the sunglasses. I think I tried on 20 pairs before we finally agreed.
