Hi,
Here is a question for those who make gumpaste flowers....
Which foam pad do you prefer? the cel pad(yellow one with holes), Jem's mexican foam pad or the white foam pad from PME? Is one better than the other?

If you are speaking of the foam cel pad for thinning and ruffling petals, I have the yellow ones and like them very much. They are foam on one side, vinyl on the other. But they were made before they came out with the same kind with the addition of the hole for making flowers that are formed from the Mexican hat. I would go for that one myself.

I have the cel pad (yellow with the holes) works fine, but the one i prefer, is a black solid one that i purchased years ago, sorry i have no idea who made it.

The one thing i use for most of my flowers is the groved cel board, its expensive but very useful for wiring leave and flat petals.

So do I Peg, I don't think you can do lifelike wired flowers without a ridged cel board.
