Airbrush Problems, Please Help!!!

I am having issues with my airbrush clogging very quickly whenever I want to spray the luster dusts. I first mixed it with lemon extract and it worked for a while and then would stop up (what a pain!) So the next time I did it I used rum b/c of the lower alcohol percentage. I thought maybe it was evaporating too quickly with the lemon extract. Well that didn't make much of a difference. I love the effect but I need to know if there is something I need to do different or it's gonna take me hours to spray a cake. Thanks!
I had the exact same problem with my airbrush, stopping up no matter how much I thinned the dust with alcohol. Unfortunately, I never found that magic potion that made it work right, funny thing is though...it only did it with one specific pod of luster dust. My final thought on it was that perhaps that dust was just not ground as fine and that was what was clogging the airbrush!
I know I've been of NO help...sorry! But I posted mainly to issue a word of warning...PLEASE make sure you clean your airbrush VERY WELL after this incident! My airbrush had problems for over a month when this happened to me. I had taken my airbrush apart completely numerous times before I finally realized that there was a dried clog of the luster dust inside the airbrush. Soaking didn't even help it, I had to use a needle to dislodge the clog and "blow the remainder out.
I don't want you to suffer with the problems I had with mine, it was a nightmare for me!
i wont use it in my ab, but have you noticed how fast the dust settles in the alcohol. perhaps trying puting in only a drop or two so it wont have time to settle in the cup, of course you will have to reload it often, but perhaps that will stop the clogging.
