Hi everyone,

Multiple KAs aren't cutting it anymore and I need to upgrade to a commercial mixer. The only ones I have ever used are Hobart commercial mixers, which are known for their reliability. However, I'm hesitant to drop $2500 on a very used 20 qt mixer.
Has anyone had any experience with other commercial mixer manufacturers like Anvil or Berkel?
I'd appreciate any information. Thanks!

Sharon

I can't imagine replacing a mixer every year. Why would you. That sounds so strang to me. Sorry for the ignorance of the comment but it just baffled me. icon_redface.gif

things that are made for home use just don't hold up for professional use.

i have to buy a blender soon for the frappees i'll soon be offering....i'll have to buy one for professional use....if i even bought a top of the line for home use...it would only last a few months.

one time when i was in the art biz, we bought a black and decker table saw to cut the wood with....the motor gave up after 1 day....got a dewalt, it lasted for years

things made for casual use, just can't take the punishment.

I have a 20qt mixer by Eagle and I love it. I paid about $1650 brand new. Basic functionality - a timer, 3 speeds ... does the job! There was a post a few months back where I mentioned this mixer, and another cc'er responded also in favor of Eagle ... maybe search for the thread if you want to read more info on commercial equipment.
