I was asked to do a cake for one of my ex-teachers. She is retiring and she also goes to my church. She is a lovely lady and I want to make it a good one. So her and her husband love to go on trips. So I want something that is like that but I hate the taste of fondant and so I don't want it to be covered in it. (picky I know!) But anyway I am open to any suggestions. It will have to be a pretty large cake as well as she has a large family and most of the church is invited so about 120 people! Thanks in advaced for the advice all you guys are great!

what about a suitcase with travel pictures on it, you could do that with buttercream and possibly fondant accents.

How about them driving down a winding road with road signs. On the back of the car you can put "Just Retired" instead of just married!
