Hi I was trying to make these based on the how to article on the site. My question is about the ink to use. I tried the edible marker pens by wilton(brand new pack). the problem was as soon as I started to color in the pen almost seemed to dry out and made the color streaky and look bad.

What kind of pens would you suggest is best or can I use the brush on liquid colors and if so can you get those in black as well since I only saw bright colors in the store.

I used the Wilton pens. I store them in the refrigerator so they don't dry out. I also have a set of Americolor pens. I have also painted on wafer paper using the wilton icing colors and an art brush. HTH
