Ok my dad got married today. On a reaaalllly last minute note I was to make the wedding cake. (I had less than a week notice). So here it is. It is Almond Sour cream cake. Almond/vanilla butterless buttercream. Grooms cake is chocolate french vanilla with chocolate buttercream and white chocolate shavings. I also make the flower arrangements (not edible but made them).

I know there are a LOT of mistakes with it. It really looked much better before the wedding. I had to haul it for 2 hrs there on horrible SC roads in the heat and my air conditioner broke in my van. So overall it was pretty good. It survived we will put it that way. But I did of course get the big buldge in the middle of each tier that everyone talks about and I had never gotten before. But I think it was because I did not tort my layers. I always do but this time did not due to time.

Anyway...enough excuses here it is.....

I see the bulging but that's the only thing I see. The dots on the middle tier appear to be perfectly aligned .... wow, how'd you do that! The icing looks smooth, the choc cake looks great!

First wedding cake or not, you did a very good job!

I see the bulging but overall, it is a beautiful cake. I think that the bulging could have been caused by heat since your AC quit. And two hours is a long trip with no AC for you and the cake!

I think it looks great. I live in SC so I know all to well about our "LOVELY" roads. Where was the wedding?
