I know I have read about this before but when I did a search I did not find an answer. Anyhow, What can you use in place of the Wilton Bake Even Strips? Is it just strips of soaked cloth? Thanks!

i have never used the strips, i use a terrycloth towel torn into strips and sewed velcro on. soak and wrap around the cake pan, works like a charm every time.
good luck

I use the strips, but I know people who have used a towel that has been cut.

i have the strips but they always seem to be too short for my pan, i might have to try the towel thing though i've read it before just never tried it.
