I did it and it didn't kill me. I used tons of tips from this website, there are still some I need to look for, but overall I'm pleased with it. I now understand what everyone means when they say the stress of a wedding cake, but I really did enjoy it. IF it weren't for this website I would have never finished it so thank you to every one who posts their successes and their not so successes icon_smile.gif It really has made it worth while and who knows if I'm every asked to do another one I might not say no. I'm trying to post a pic directly here but if it doesn't work please take a look at my gallery I'd love to know what anyone thinks.

That is gorgeous! I love the contrast of the champagne color and white accents, very classy. Great job!

oh and thank you for the kind words, you can so tell i'm a newbie wedding cakes are so not my thing. I usually do baby shower and birthday so when i was asked to do this one because it was small I said okay, but when i dropped it off the caterer asked if i did this full time, I told her no that it was just a part time thing I'd only been doing for a few months and so she said oh so you don't have a card I just said no. I felt like an idiot. My husband said that if she really wants it she'll get it from the bride. I was just so nervous dropping it off it didn't even register. Oh well lesson learned.

Your cake is beautiful my first was a near disaster. The royal icing roses on the side would not hold. Finally I had to just patch it up and run before any more fell off. I am not lying I just packed up my tool kit and ran out of there
