I saw on a thread that CakemanOH posted a recipe for buttercream using Hi-ratio shortening and an ingredient for the recipe called for white icing base. Does anyone know what exactly white icing base it and what it's suppose to do to the frosting?

I'm not exactly sure what it is, but here is a description of Creme Whip Icing Base right from the Sugarcraft web site: Creme Whip Icing Base - we use as a stabilizer, helps prevent sagging, makes buttercream roses stiff! weight may vary - price will be reflected. Ingredients: corn syrup, sugar, tapioca starch, egg whites, artificial flavor, salt, tartaric acid, cellulose gum.
I hope this helps!!
