HAHAHA, about the little gelatin "lumps". I thought I was the only one who could ruin MMF!!!
Every so many batches that happens to me, too. It's just straight into the trash when it happens, too, because you can never get those lumps out.
I have analysed and analysed and the only thing I can come up with is maybe I microwave the marshmallow/water mixture too long and it overcooks, leaving those little lumps. They never seem to show up until the fondant is done, though.
The last 3 times I made it I just microwaved till the mms were barely all melted and then just stirred it (kind of like how you are supposed to melt the chocolate wafers). That worked just fine so I'm wondering if I have the lump problem solved.
I would like to try another recipe though, so I'm going to take advantage of all your struggles and try your worked out recipe! Thanks again for posting it!
