I made 4 batches of cookies and all except one stuck to the pan. I spayed the pan with non stick spray and it only seemed to help a little. Is there a trick to this? Should I be doing someting different?

Line your cookie sheet with parchment paper. You won't need to use spray or anything. And you can use the same piece of parchment for the entire time you're baking. I throw it out when I'm done baking for the day and use a fresh piece the next time. It also helps to have two cookie sheets going. One in the oven and the other ready to go in when the first comes out. Makes it go so much faster. Good luck.

I'm using the wilton cookie treat shaped pans, so it would be hard to line it with parchment. I always use parchment when I use a regular cookie sheet, works like a charm! But these are shaped, so I'm not sure how else it would work!

Are you taking them out right away or almost? Or are they cooling in the pan?

They are too soft to take out right away, so I let them sit for about 5-10 min then try and get them out. Some of them are fine and most others just stick and break.

I'd go with freddy's suggestion. I just made some cookies last week using the popsicle pan(Lillian Vernon pan found never opened at a yard sale for 50cents) and it said to lightly spray with cooking spray--worked like a charm.

Are you putting them on sticks?

I use silpads. Their a silcone mat that you lay on your cookie sheet. Then you just wash them with soap and water and dry them. Their around $20 a piece at places like William Sonoma but their definetly worth it! You can use them for candies like peanut brittle and nothing sticks to them! They can be used over and over and over. So your saving money in the long run from buying parchment paper. I also had a problem with the parchment making my oven smoke sometimes.

I agree with msladybug. The new sprays with FLOUR mixed in work the best.
Great for complicated bundt pans so they ought to work for your pan.

I use Wilton's silicone mats. They are wonderful. I think the large one costs around $13 and the smaller around $8. I bought mine at Hobby Lobby with a 40% discount coupon, so they were really cheap. I have four.

I only let mine cool for a minute or two before I remove. I think 5-10 is too long.

Karen sue and weirkd - SHe has a shaped pan so the mats wouldn't work (this time).

Ohhhh! Thats different! Duh! Yah, go with the Pam with Flour spray or the Bakers Joy then. I have a gingerbread people pan like that and that stuff works great.
