what is your favorite way to doctor up a white cake mix?
Crissy
I've added canned peaches and made peach cupcakes great for brunch. I've added lemon zest and juice to make lemon cake. I've added spices and raisins and maple extract and made a delicious raisin spice cake. I've added pineapple juice to do my pineapplie upside down cake. lol quite a versatile mix
mmm the peach cupcakes sound good! what else is out there?
I add white chocolate pudding oil and water and eggs, when I first tried it tasted delicious now it taste the same to me but it's probably just me I smell it all the time!!! The first time I tried it I thought how delicious it was and could not taste excatly what it was. Anyways there's so many options out there!
I just made one today with a yellow mix, vanilla pudding, melted butter instead of the oil, the water it called for, an extra egg, and about half a cup of sour cream.... tell you how it turns out in about 45 minutes!
I take ideas from the Cake Doctor and play with them. Often times she has various options on the side you can play with. Yesterday I added white chocolate raspberry creamer to the white cake mix to make cupcakes and my buddy this morning was so excited he did the Curly Shuffle clear across the room! (and that's BEFORE he ate 3 cupcakes!) ![]()
