If you're in a real pinch and can't do fresh fruit toppings, you can use the canned pie fillings/topping. They come in cherry, blueberry, raspberry and wildberry.
You can find them in the baking aisle of the grocery store.

Choc ganache is always a good one. It is just whipping cream and chocolate..very easy.
I would do the same thing. Cherry and Blueberry pie filling then a soft chocolate: ganache or I have even seen people use the Hershey's syrup for ice cream, and it is quite good also!
Personally give me a cheesecake, a can of cherry pie filling, and a fork, and leave me alone! hehe i don't like to share!

I used some fresh blueberries (a pint I believe), then I put them in the blender to puree them. After pureed, then I put them in the microwave for about 2 minutes or until cooked through. I put this on top of a cheesecake and it was delicious. Didn't need any extra sweetener or anything.
I make a white chocolate cheesecake with canned cherry pie filling that is cooked with a little bit of chocolate liqueur and it's delicious. I make it with one can of pie filling and 1/4 cup of Godiva chocolate liqueur, heat over the stove until it's thickened back up a little, and let cool. It's really good.
And, what about a turtle topping for the chocolate one? Heavily drizzle the top with chocolate ganache and caramel, and then top with toasted pecans? It's really popular with my customers.
