My fiance's mother's SO does not like cake of any kind. For a late Father's Day (when we had all kids home) the kids and I made a cake for all the fathers in the family.

This man, who normally is on my SugarHoneyIcedTea list, actually ate some cake! He told me a few days later that "I don't eat cake, never have, but I have respect for you and what you did, so I ate the piece you gave me."

You could have knocked me over with a feather.

That is so sweet that he told you that and the respect given to you would mean alot. Nice for you to hear that.

Hehe, thanks. It's not my own, but from Madagascar.

It really did make me feel good! Even his own family is not "good enough" in his opinion. icon_sad.gif He will not live very much longer with his health problems, so it was extremely nice to know how he feels at this stage. icon_smile.gif
