Does it have to be viva or can it be any brand of paper towel? If so, why only viva? Just wondering so i can give it a try.
You can use any brand, but Viva is the only one that is not going to leave a pattern on the cake.
Some people use the regular towels for the patterned affect, but for a completely smooth surface, you need Viva. You can also use computer paper or parchment paper and they work well also.
