I'm propbably not the first person to do this but I was struck with inspiration last night so I thought I'd share.

I am terrible at writting on cake and even worse when the word is congratulations. So I pipped a nice thick line with the icing tip on to a piece of parchment, wrote on that and then froze it. I peeled off beautifully. I plopped it on the cake and it looks great. It's not flat to the cake but it looks like a plaque, so it's good.

ANyway just thought I'd share for any other pipping challenged decorators out there!!

yes! Use a crusting one so you can make the sides nice and smooth if you need to.

How long do you freeze your writing? What size tip do you use? Are you using a font underneath? Lots of questions.....

Actually I only froze it for about 20 minutes. I used a 4 but I would use a smaller tip next time. Don't understand the font question?
