I'm not sure if i should make another cake or not. i'm thinking i should. it never goes to waste. It's for my SIL.

If you cut 2x2 inch pieces, it will serve 54 people. If you're doing two layers and cut 1.5x2 inch pieces then it will serve 72.

you can get 24 serving at 3 in squares.

I always give an estimate of 36 (2x3") to 54 (2x2") servings. It all depends on the size of the cut...some people want really BIG slices of cake!
