Icing Question

At work today we had a cake bought from the walmart bakery the icing on it was whipped cream it had a really strange under taste like lemon or something bitter can anyone tell me what would cause this just curious

boy, I can't tell you, but my taste buds lean towards plastic.
I don't like that stuff. Whipped topping should be real.

I am wondering if they used the same spatula for lemon filling as they did to scoop out the BEttercreme icing when icing your cake. That would be my guess. Otherwise I am not sure. Otherwise it was a bad batch.

Even if they had it a really long time it doesn't get a lemon taste... it just taste like a curddled milk type... (kinda hard to explain, but trust me you don't want to taste it!)
