Maybe a cake that looks like a Bonne Belle LipSmacker Tube?

Or a maybe a Roller Skate cake decorated to look like it has the spandex cover and a pom-pom?

how about something that features old video games...like pac man, frogger or donky kong.

you can do the cake in the shape of the arcade game. that would be cute!

That cake sounds like fun! Could you decorate the sides of half of the cake to be like the 70's and the other half to represent the 80's?

I always like to think of the trends for this stuff. Like for the 70's side to have fondant decorations pressed into the sides-- platform shoes, peace symbols, bell bottoms, disco balls, smiley faces, people with afros!! :O)

And for 80's-- Yikes! All I can think of is dyed hair and bad perms. Not sure what to do about the 80's. Maybe branch into TV shows like the others said. Man, Dallas and Dukes of Hazzard were my two favorites--they came on back to back on Friday nights. Ahhh, memories :O) Good luck!

THANKS!!!!

The websites are a big help. I had thought of a rubiks cube, but that would be more for me and not my sister (the b-day girl). Anyway, the one here is cool! All of these suggestions are really helpful.

Thanks again!

I can't help with the cake so much as with the table.....

On a recent thread similar to this, someone suggested putting pictures and old record albums under a clear tablecloth on the table. I thought that was a really cool idea!

They were planning on the rubik's cube cake, I think.

Ahhh memories!

Don't forget MTV!!! (Back when they played music!)

Flock of Seagulls, Adam Ant, BonJovi, VanHalen, Whitesnake, Heavy Metal!!!

BIG HAIR!!! Flourescent pink, green and orange!!

Ahhhhh...... BIG HAIR bands!! I can still remember the first time I saw a picture of "Poison" out of a magazine. The first question out of my mouth was......why do those guys have make-up on, I was about 12 or 13 at the time.

I listened to their music and a few others and have been hooked ever since!!!!

Just had to reminis (spelling) fior a minute!

Thanks
Connie
