Have you ever wondered what a certain tip will do?
Someone else posted a link to the Ateco website so I went and looked on it and there is a whole section with pictures of how you can use different tips. It has pictures for a lot of the tips.

I think it's pretty neat, so I thought I'd share.
WOW I never knew there were so many designs that you can do on a cake. That's incredible. Thanks for the link!!
Wow!!! Thanks so much!!! I'm about to do my first wedding cake and have it all in my head except the border. I just saw one I want!!! That is so much better than even the Wilton chart where I took my course (as was told you can't get one through Wilton).
How Cool!!
What a fantastic guide! Thanks!
BTW...I bought this set of tips at Sugarcraft and I love, love, love them! They're sold as Specialty Ruffle Tips if anyone is interested.

this is fantastic!!!!!!!!!! now to figure out wiltons tip numbers for the Ateco affect LOL. i printed all teh pages out (for reference) and will have to try and match the ones i have. does anyone have a translator? as in what wilton tips correspond with ateco?
You're welcome, everyone.
Someone asked about matching up the tip numbers...The lady who runs my local cake shop says that they are all numbered the same from manufacturer to manufacturer, except that not all manufacturers make all of the tips. The only exception is those special ruffling tips. I read somewhere that one manufacturer uses different numbers for those, but everyone else has them numbered 413-417.
