Hi I am getting ready to make a batch of NFSC. All I have is salted butter. the recipe does not say which to use salted or unsalted? Okay so i am a newbie to baking but my guess is that i should use unsalted but would salted be okay since that is all I have. Thanks in advance

Generally, if the recipe just says butter, it is regular, salted butter that they're talking about. They'll usually state unsalted if that's what they want.
For future reference, to make adjustments, one stick of butter contains 1/4 t. of salt. If I use regular salted butter in a recipe that calls for unsalted butter, I just reduce the salt called for in the recipe by 1/4 t. Many times, though, it doesn't matter, but probably more so with baking.
