I made a batch of cookies 2 weeks ago for my niece that had a baby. There was some left, so it has been wrapped in the fridge for 2 weeks. Is it still good, or should I make some more? I had another niece to have a baby today, so I was wanting to make her a cookie bouquet too. Is it good do you think? I don't want to make her sick, even though she is in the hospital. ![]()
I'm not sure. All I could say would be to roll some dough and cut one out and bake to taste. Sorry, I'm not much help.
When I made some the last time I had dough left I put it in a ziploc bag and stuck it in the freezer. They were fine when they came out. ![]()
I'm curious to know as well so here's a bump ...
Can't help much other than suggest checking the expiration date for the eggs and butter you used (if you still have it). I like to wrap my left over dough in Saran then Seal-A-Meal it closed and stash it it the freezer. They say to use it within 3 months but my dough never lasts that long! There is always an occasion to make cookies!!!!
Because there are eggs in the refrigerated dough, id toss it, i normally dont keep it any longer then a week, and being that i just got certified as a food sanitation manager.. haha
, i heard tooo many horror stories i dont think id keep my dough longer then a few days now.. lol
Thanks for all of the help.
I tossed it just to be on the safe side, and another batch is in the oven. ![]()
Thanks again for the help. ![]()
I've never done it, but I have read here that you can freeze your dough... just a thought for next time.
