Hello, I have to make a cake for tomorow for my last class in Wilton I, my son wants red velvet cake. What is a good frosting to use? He loves cream cheese, would that be a good flavor. I personally have NOT tasted a Red velvet cake, that is why I am not sure of a good frosting.

I am going to use the class recipe for the borders and roses and so forth. Also, what would be a good filling?? Thank you sooo much!

As trent said the cream cheese icing is really good. I use the crusting cream cheese icing recipe here in the recipe sectionicon_smile.gif
