Hi!

Has anyone picked up the 2007 yearbook yet? Is it worth purchasing? I'm going after work to my local cake store and picking it up but wanted to see what your thoughts were on this one... icon_lol.gif

TIA!

Peggy

I don't own it yet, but I've heard it's not that great. Lots of people here were disappointed in it.

I just purchased it and there are a lot of the same ideas in this one and in the past, but, there are some new things. I always get ideas from the books, so I get them, although I have heard a lot of people saying that they dont' want to get it because there is so much of the book that covers their product instead of cake ideas. In the 232 pages, only approx 124 of them cover the cakes and not product. To me it was worth it, only $10 but to others it might not be. GOod Luck

I personally don't think the book is worth purchasing right now. The cost here is about $12. I am a collector of Wilton yearbooks and have copies dating back to the 1970's. When comparing past yearbooks to this one there have been better issues before. I may buy it when it goes on sale later next year.

Please look and decide for yourself.

Everyone likes and does different type of cake decorating. And what is in there may be more of what you like than others.

I personally like the yearbook this year. I think they have some cute ideas in it. Do I like every cake in it? No, but I never have. But for me over all there are several cakes I really loved as well as some other techinques I think I would use in other ways.

I got mine at Michael's with a coupon so I paid about $7 I think, and for that price I definately think it's worth it. I just love seeing them. I also got a Wilton Tiered cake book that's awesome if anyone is ever wanting a good book on tiered and stacked cakes.

Although I have bought it YET, I will. $10 isn't really that much, and as stated previously you can use a store coupon and get it for much less.

Even if you only get ONE idea out of it, it pays for itself. KWIM?

I just bought mine as well and it quickly paid off. I was looking at it in a restaurant and my waitress asked if I baked cakes and booked a cake from me on the spot. Well worth the money.
