i have to make a tractor cake. i told the lady i'd prob just do an 11x15 with the tractor shaped cake pan cake on top of it. anyone have any different ideas or any advice to make it better??

I would be interested in this too. Someone mentioned they might be interested in a tractor cake for baby shower (mother is doing the room in John Deere things). I know there is a tractor pan but not sure how many people they would need to feed. I am still pretty new at this and have only done the one layer cakes (except for classes). icon_smile.gif

I did a tractor for my son it is in my photos. It is not perfect, but was pretty easy to do. I used a large and small loaf pan and carved it a to make my tractor. Chocolate clay wheels and windows. It is covered in mmf. It will be heavy and you will need to put support under it. I didn't that is why is sunk a little. Hope this helps.

MMF is marshmallow fondant.

we have done several tractor cakes only two were 3d and the rest were just pictures on a cake. I think I have one in my photos. It is carved from 3 9x13 cakes stacked.
