I made a nurse's hat out of gumpaste but did not think it was white enough. I tried to airbrush it white but it was like the paint didn't want to take to the gumpaste. Did this happen b/c the gumpaste wasn't dry yet? Any help as soon as possible would be great b/c if it can't be sprayed I have to make another one since this one is all streaky!!! Thanks!

I have heard many people say they have problems with white airbrush liquid, it either clogs their airbrush or goes on streaked. I would mix some white petal dust (matte, not luster) with some Everclear or Vodka to the consistency of latex wall paint or unwhipped whipping cream and paint it on the cap.

i avoid AB white, it will block it, notice how you have to shake the bottle well becuase it settles and seperates. paint it on instead.

Thanks for the responses. I remade the hat and left it as is (it was for Thursday). Next time I'll try some of your ideas before I ruin another hat!
