The months of May and June were very very busy at work, everyone who could was working 80-90 hours a week to get some really big jobs done for new customers. Then I got into a car accident and haven't been able to help as much so others have helped by covering what I can't do. Then this week we have a 5 day field job where we have 6 people working 14-16 hour days.

Well amazingly we didn't have any customers ask us to do anywork over the 4th of july weekend so the owners are giving everyone 4 days off (highly unlikely in our business-only guarenteed day off is Christmas Day)

We also had two new people start last week that were thrown into our hectic schedule and are doing great on getting settled in and helping get done what needs done.

So I am looking for any ideas anyone might have as a big Thank you cake or other desert I can decorate for all the hardwork everyone has done. It has been a very stressful two months for everyone and I think the least they deserve is a cake. =)

Any ideas are appreciated, I just don't know where to start.

How about a pool cake?
Sort of like to express, "If we can't all relax by the pool, at least we can eat it"

a clock w/ no hands

an empty calendar/appointment book/to do list

nine cakes: T H A N K Y O U !

cupcakes all around

-------------

tho', sometimes, simple and elegent is best -- simple cake, simple message. "With heartfelt thanks for all you do."

I like that clock idea, b/c it never did matter what it said =)

Ursula-I like the pool idea... might make it a lake or river b/c we all enjoy one or ther other... like the saying that is definitely going in the idea book!

Keep the ideas coming! I plan on making it on sun/mon.

What kind of company do you work for leily? I like the appt. book with nothing in it.

Thank you in different languages? Let me think about this one.

The company I work for fabricates Custom Stainless Steel products. Primarily for the food industry. We make just about anything out of stainless. Countertops, conveyors, small to large capacity tanks, stairs, platforms, ergonomic equipment, shelves, ladders.... you name it out of stainless steel, we have probably made some version of it... Even a grill =) Check out www.69incss.com, there are pictures of our products when you click on the tab "products"

Ok so i realized I just rambled my way through that non stop sentence, I will let you guys think about it while i get some sleep tonight =)

I appreciate the help.

I am thinking one of the products done in cake, lots of nice silver luster dust! thumbs_up.gif Owners names are Puck, could use that, too. Hmm....

Or a conveyor belt that the employees can ride into the lake or pool (instead of a slide), stainless steel of course and dont forget the s.s. BBQ next to it, lots of silver there.

THE SECRET TO SUCESS IS TEAM WORK!
THANKS TO EVERYONE WHOSE TALENTS AND EFFORTS
MADE THIS TEAM WORK.

Under this put in a fireworks display filling in the center of the cake. Have fun with bright colors and glitter. If you like, at the bottom put somthing that your company makes or the company logo.

Wow! thanks for all the help. I just don't know where to begin.

Narie-thanks for that saying. If i don't use it on this cake I will definitely keep it for another cake for work. It definitely summarizes everyones work ethics that work there =)

Hmm... a cake that looks like a conveyor... you know i actually never even considered that... and I see the things everyday! But then it got me to thinking, we just finished some really big tanks too... hmm.... That would definitely be cool for our yearly company meetings =)
