I entered to win a 10k scholarship from my local culinary school. The contest was over in May 15 but they will not decided til June 15th. My nerves are getting the best of me. I'm constantly checking their site to see if they have posted anything on it. I know if i win, i'll probably know before i see it online. This will not cover my entire tuition for the Pastry & Baking class, but it'll cover at least 40% of it. After checking every day, i finally got the nerves to call the school to find out when they will have an answer. Well the little did i know that by calling the main number they would xfer me to the Chef we submitted the application and essay to. 
I was so nervous talking to him, the person who picked up the main line didn't say who she was going to put me thru to. So when he came on i explained that i don't know who i'm speaking with, but wanted to know about the contest results. He mentioned his name and i just said hello Chef ----. He was very nice and polite, asked my name. Said yes we have your application. We will notify the winner around June 15th, then post online. i thanked him, he wished me luck.
Ok so i'm asking ya'll to please sing a little prayer for me?! keep your fingers crossed, throw me some petal dust for luck! 
you name it. It has been my dream to go to Culinary school for the longest time. But being a single mom to 3 and having my first young, hasn't been easy being out of work to go to school.
