Here's the situation, I opened my big mouth about having a surprise birthday party for my boyfriend. He will be 41, any ideas? tips? suggestions? It is in late June, I was thinking a BBQ, I would supply the meats and everybody bring a dish. Should I do invitations or just by word of mouth? I need HELP! TIA for any suggestions!

If it will be an informal gathering there's nothing wrong with telephone calls and evites. When people ask what they can bring have a list by the phone and delegate. Have a great time!
