I also found that this stuff stretches like crazy too. So when I was picking up my design it stretched large enough that I had to cut some of it off before using it. Instructions on the sugar craft site were really neat, but maybe mine was too thin and that's why it stretched so much. Cool stuff but I don't use mine. And I put mine into a bag not their tool and it worked just fine.

I have used airpen and in a mini pastry bag as well...did fine in both.

You can use both royal and buttercream in the airpens. They just have to be thin enough to flow.

I have also found that letting it dry "just enough" will keep it from stretching. "Just enough" can be tricky, but it should feel pretty dry, not sticky, and pretty firm. It takes some time for it to dry hard and then it becomes very fragile.
