OK all I have been fighting with the issue for a while now and would any advice on what I am doing wrong or what I can change. When I use my air brush on cakes with buttercreme frosting (crisco, psugar, h2o, vanilla and alomnd) why do my images bleed. Its not over spray and doesn't happen right away it takes awhile may an hour or so and then gets worse, my gel colors will also start to bleed, I know some has to do with the heat and all but even in the winter i have this. Also this isn't happening cause I put down to much color, it happens with the lightest of coatings.

Now when talking with kopykakes they have a pinch of salt in their recipe, does that pinch of salt make a difference? They say they don't have problems with colors bleeding. Does Hi-Ratio shortening make a differnce verses the crisco.

Thanks all so very much icon_smile.gif

I use high ratio shortening and salt and have never had this problem. Try it!
