I sent cookies to PreK yesterday--bagged, bowed and had a tag: "Have a Great Summmer, Love XXX". Made more than enough. They were to be sent home in the kiddos' backpacks. I always do this so the parents can decide if they want their child to have sweets or if there is an allergy. I know one child whose mother I am friends with and she appreciates this--she says her kiddos REALLY goes bezerk from any sugar.
So I look in the backpack--no cookies. I guess the teachers decided to just rip out my cookies and let the kids have at them. I think they did not plan for enough activities and did not want to have to clean their classrooms again.
I do this cookie thing on the side--not trying to drum up business or anything but I do go out of my way to make things look nice. If you buy bagged and bowed cookies, it runs .25-.50 per cookie, Tags will run you another .25. I have discussed this with them. They love the cookies and all. These were not treats that they asked for me to bring to eat in class--we did it b/c many parents will do treat bags for holidays and special days. There were 16 cookie packs. And I am talking cookies on a stick with fondant..
I could total-have just left them on a tray with saran wrap. Instead my $$$ went straight into the trash.
!
Maybe just pmsing--just needed to vent.
The next time they order from me, I may just have to factor in the wasted $ they cost me into their total-lol
