I have a 12 inch round cake that was made by mistake a few weeks ago. As soon as I figured out what I did I wrapped it up in saran wrap then in foil. Put it in the freezer.
BUT when I needed space in the freezer on Fri to make my 3-D tooth, I took it out, deforsted it and put it in the fridge. I don't want to thow the whole thing away. Would you use it today?[/b]

I froze 2 10" layers for about 2 months and it was fine. I figured I would do a little test to see what happened and it was still very moist. icon_smile.gif

I personally wouldn't, if it hasn't gone bad I would think it would be real dry, even a day or two in the fridge can leave a cake pretty dry. If it's still ok, maybe use it as cake balls...add in the needed moisture.
