I must make some box lids in pastillage and am trying to follow a Debbie Brown recipe. She calls for Tragacanth gum, which I cannot get here. GumTex is Karaya gum and I am hoping that someone can advise if this will be a good enough replacement. The only gum I know anything about is chewing gum!! I really need these box lid flaps to be strong, can someone help please, I must get them started and am starting to frett. Oops, one more question, if I succeed, what would be the best way to prepare the box for a car journey? It's a 5x7 in cake topper box with a male stripper leaping out, I'm sure y'all know the kind of thing I mean.

Hey CC'ers I think I have found my own answer. I found a site that tells me that Karaya gum is a cheaper alternative to Tragacanth gum - so I will give it a go!!! Sorry, I should have looked it up before I pestered CC icon_redface.gif
